The SDA Eligibility Tool has been created to assist potential and current NDIS participants, their chosen stakeholders and support networks to take the first steps towards exploring Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).
The tool will ask questions specifically related to your eligibility, with particular focus on the NDIS Specialist Disability Accommodation Rules’ eligibility criteria.
This evidence will likely assist your application for SDA and may prompt decisions as to what clinical evidence will need to be provided and by which practitioner discipline(s).
Part of the process for you articulating your preferences needs to be one where you are well informed about the housing options which SDA presents. The tool will not fully inform you about your options but will hopefully start you on a journey of knowing what those options are. It is important to include as much information as possible when answering these questions, as this will all be summarised for you as reference material and will likely assist a future process of making an application for SDA supports in your NDIS plan.
